Interessen und Sammelgebiete: privat: Europaeische Land- und Suesswassermollusken besonders aus Tirol und Norditalien sowie Schnecken und Muscheln aus dem Mittelmeer und dem Atlantik. Besondere Vorliebe fuer Mikroconchylien, die meine Mutter aus Gesiebe und Muschelsand aussucht und die von mir bestimmt werden. fuer das Museum: Binnen- und Meeresmollusken weltweit. Bereitwillig zum Tausch von europaeischen Arten gegen Schnecken und Muscheln aus anderen Gebieten Europas und weltweit. Together with my mother, Dr. Irmgard Nisters, born 18. 08. 1911, former lawyer, responsible as volunteer of the natural history department of the Tiroler Landesmuseum Ferdinandeum Innsbruck as curator of the shell collection since 1972. Collaborator of "Naturmuseum Suedtirol" - Bolzano. Interests and collecting fields: private: as well as European land- and fresh water-shells, mainly coming from Tyrol and Northern Italy and Mediterranean and Atlantic sea-shells keen on microshells, which my mother is sorting out from mould (continental shells) and shellgrit (marine molluscs). My mother and I always are looking for shellgrit coming from the Mediterranean, Atlantic and worldwide from different localites and different depths. The shells will be divided among our private collection and the museums collection. Friends, please send us detritus from everywhere. for the museum: continental and sea-shells worldwide. Willing to exchange material coming from Alpine regions with shells from other parts of Europe and the world. Revising and establishing scholastic shell collections for didactic purposes to make malacology better known.
